Mixing solutions was originally developed by Spa Plating in the mid-'90s for plating coloured shades of gold like rose gold and yellow gold. It has now been extended to producing the coloured shades of bronze like white bronze.
There are two main advantages to this process: It allows you to mix-to-match the exact colour of gold or bronze; alloy solutions, especially gold, are notoriously unstable and have much-reduced shelf lives. Mixing just the right amount of gold for the job ensures considerable cost savings on wastage caused by gold solutions exceeding their shelf life.
