new improved switched Expansion Box allows you to move seamlessly through
the brush plating process without having to switch the
connections round at the rectifier.
A switch replaces the requirement to reverse the leads when performing
operations such as chrome stripping. Another feature of the new
expansion box is a flashing red light which warns you when you are in
stripping mode. This helps prevent one of the most common
problems in brush plating; going into the activation stage with the
electrical current flowing in the wrong direction which can cause damage
to the work.
It also alleviates the requirement to stack the connections at the
rectifier which not only looks more tidy, but helps prevent electrical
problems.
